League Classic jungle routes
Every League Classic jungler starts one of two ways: a Blue-side clear for mana and cooldowns, or a Red-side clear for a slow and early dueling power. Here's the exact path for both, and which side every Classic jungler runs.
Blue start
- Leash the Golem, then clear toward Wolves and Wraiths.
- Smite the buff and grab small camps on the way to your first gank.
- Runs it: Cho'Gath, Evelynn, Fiddlesticks, Amumu, Nunu, Rammus, Skarner.
Red start
- Leash the Lizard, then clear toward Wraiths and Wolves.
- Smite the buff — the proc slow makes your first duel or invade safer.
- Runs it: Master Yi, Jarvan IV, Lee Sin, Shaco, Dr. Mundo, Warwick.

Master YiRED START
Wriggle's Lantern · S-tierRed start's slow makes your first clear safer and your first duel scarier — full-clear to level 4-5, then gank off Highlander resets, not before.
Jarvan IVRED START
Spirit of the Elder Lizard · S-tierRed start's slow turns your very first clear into a threat — path toward mid for an E-Q knock-up gank the moment you hit level 3.
Cho'GathBLUE START
Spirit of the Ancient Golem · S-tierBlue start keeps Rupture spammable through the whole clear — take every small camp on the way for Feast stacks before your first gank.
EvelynnBLUE START
Spirit of the Spectral Wraith · S-tierBlue start funds Hate Spike from level one — stay stealthed between camps and path behind whichever lane you plan to gank.
Lee SinRED START
Spirit of the Elder Lizard · A-tierRed start's slow chains straight into an invade — clear toward the most aggressive matchup and ward-jump the second you hit level 3.
FiddlesticksBLUE START
Spirit of the Spectral Wraith · A-tierBlue start keeps Drain affordable enough to clear efficiently — the real route only starts at level 6, Crowstorming from an unwarded bush.
AmumuBLUE START
Spirit of the Ancient Golem · B-tierBlue start keeps Despair and Bandage Toss cheap from the first camp — clear blue-side and look for a level-3 gank the moment Curse is up.
NunuBLUE START
Spirit of the Ancient Golem · B-tierBlue start keeps Consume and Ice Blast spammable — clear toward whichever lane needs the first Blood Boil gank.
ShacoRED START
Wriggle's Lantern · B-tierRed start's slow covers your early duels — but the strongest route is an invade: box the enemy blue buff before your own first camp.
Dr. MundoRED START
Warmog's Armor · B-tierRed start's slow covers your slow early clears — full-clear both halves of the jungle before your first fight, Mundo wins by simply surviving longer.
RammusBLUE START
Spirit of the Ancient Golem · B-tierBlue start powers Powerball back-to-back through the clear — full-clear to level 4, then roll into whichever lane overextends first.
SkarnerBLUE START
Spirit of the Ancient Golem · C-tierBlue start keeps Fracture and Impale spammable all game — path toward the side lane you can Flash-Impale into.
WarwickRED START
Wriggle's Lantern · C-tierRed start's slow is free peel on your own clear — but you can't gank before 6, so farm every camp on both halves until Infinite Duress is live.
Jungle routes — FAQ
What's the difference between a jungle route and a jungle path in League Classic?
They're the same thing — “route” and “path” both describe the order a jungler clears camps in. The two standard starts are a Blue-side clear (Golem → Wolves → Wraiths) and a Red-side clear (Lizard → Wraiths → Wolves), and almost every Classic jungler's route is a variation on one of the two.
Should I start Blue buff or Red buff in League Classic?
Start Blue if you're mana-hungry or want cooldowns up every clear — tanks and AP casters like Cho'Gath, Amumu and Fiddlesticks all start Blue. Start Red if you want a slow and early dueling power — Lee Sin, Jarvan IV and Master Yi all start Red. Each champion card below lists the exact starting item that decides it.
When should a League Classic jungler gank?
Most Classic junglers look for their first gank at level 3, right after their second camp — Lee Sin and Jarvan IV path for it directly. A couple of exceptions (Master Yi, Warwick) can't gank meaningfully before level 6, so the correct route for them is a full clear instead.
